“New Formula” Whelehans Childrens Tonic

Mummy’s little helper to ensure your kids are getting what they need

Just a couple of weeks in and already “Back to School” is a distant memory. With the new term in full swing and the routine established, Autumn is imminent. One thing that is always a concern to parents at this time of the year is “How can I be sure my kids are getting enough of the right food, especially when they’re at school?”.

It seems that no matter how hard you try, ensuring that your children get their “five a day” (infact “seven a day” is the new guidance) can be a struggle.

The “new formula” Whelehans Childrens Tonic can be the parents friend in helping supply vital vitamins and minerals.

The great news is that over the summer, our Childrens Tonic has been re-formulated to make it even more beneficial to those parents seeking to make healthy choices for children’s mind and body. The new recipe still provides the Vitamin and Iron benefits it always did, however the new formulation is now “E Number” free so parents can rest assured it is safe and healthy to use. In addition, the new formula means that all the benefits are delivered in just one daily 5ml spoonful.

What does it do?  Traditionally, each 5ml of Whelehans Childrens Tonic is packed with iron and all the B vitamins (B1, B2, B3 and B12 ) which may be lacking in kids not fond of fruit and veg. It can also provide a good option as a temporary boost in times of illness or poor diet.

The primary benefit from these “B’s” is to help your child’s body in releasing the energy stored within the food they eat. Vitamin B12 in particular can have life-long benefits  as B12 may help to prevent heart disease and combat depression as it helps in breaking down proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Iron is known to relieve fatigue and improve concentration in your child. It can also help encourage restful sleep and to improve the body’s immune system.

As with all food supplements, Whelehans Childrens Tonic should not be considered an alternative to a healthy diet. It is important not to exceed the dosage instructions on the label. It is not suitable for Children under 6 years of age.

“New formula” Whelehans Childrens Tonic is available in both our Pearse St and Clonmore stores, call in and pick some up today. A useful information sheet is available on our website www.whelehans.ie.

Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Not meant for long term use. Keep all supplements out of the reach of children
